Sheena Abraham completed her Internal Medicine residency from the
Center, one of
the premier institutions in Washington D.C and is
Board Certified in Internal
Medicine. She received her undergraduate training
at the Lady
where she graduated as the valedictorian.
Dr. Abraham has been practicing in
VA for the last nine
years as a primary care physician at
Kaiser Permanente. Her warm, personable
style helped her become one of the most sought after physicians in
the medical group. Her fluency in multiple languages
gave her the unique ability to relate to a
culturally diverse patient population.
With her compassion and
professionalism, Dr. Abraham has received high
ratings in patient satisfaction surveys. With her focus on
preventive medicine and health maintenance, she has consistently
excelled in the HEDIS quality measures as reported by the NCQA (National
Committee for Quality Assurance). As the Chairperson of
the Center Quality Committee and as a member of the Executive Patient Safety Initiative,
she has played a leadership role in
rendering patient focused and patient centered care.
Her professional interests include
Preventive Medicine and Health Maintenance. She is fluent
in several languages including English, Hindi, Malayalam,
Tamil, Urdu and Punjabi. She resides in
with her husband and two children and enjoys spending her free time with them.
